While a video essay benefits from the affordances of its multimodality, it is still an essay. This means that it must be argument-driven, and structured to prove its thesis. The evidence you use to achieve this goal can include audio, images, video, and narration. Your video essay must:

  1. Be 4-5 minutes long. You will convert this video into a YouTube or Vimeo link.
  2. Incorporate research. This includes primary science fiction sources but also academic and popular press research on your challenge.
  3. Include narration from all group members.
  4. Analyze how science fiction responds to and offers solution to your group’s Urban Sustainability Challenge.
