Writing Advertisements(There’s no pages limited, just write as much as you want)
Write and record a 30-second commercial(we have already recorded the video for this, so you just need to write the advertisement follow the guide below. The content of our recorded video was about the process of making bubble tea if you need to know) for your business(Just a pretending business in class for one day as we’re doing this in order to collect information for the upcoming business report). When writing your commercial, think about:
1) Your goal(We’re going to sell bubble tea and Thai tea with topping such as tapioca and jelly; also because we’re doing as a group of 3 people, we will do the tattoo or henna drawing come along side with selling drinks). Are you just informing your potential customer, or do you want to promote a sale?(we have informed in class that we have a promotion when you buy 1 you can get another one 50% off)
2) Your target audience(mainly student? up to you then). Who is your target, and what problems do they have that you can solve?
3) Competing advertisements. See what’s working for the competition.
4) One or two key benefits of your business/product.
5) How to start with an attention-grabbing headline.
6) Addressing your customer directly by saying “you”
7) Use simple, clear, concise language.
8) Your call to action. Get your customer to do something – buy a product, visit a location, vote in the upcoming election, etc.
9) Remember AIDA: grab Attention, maintain Interest, stimulate Desire, prompt Action.
