Writing, Submitting, and Reviewing Grant Proposals”
Humanities
There are many important components that are part of a grant proposal. Each of the components provides funders with information about your organization, and the program(s) that you are interested in getting funded. For the purposes of this assignment, you are going to choose an existing nonprofit human services organization. The organization that you choose can serve any population, and be located anywhere in the United States. Be sure that the organization that you choose has a comprehensive website.
For this Assignment, you are going to write certain sections of a grant proposal. Please utilize information from the organization that you chose to write the following sections. You will need to identify one program that the organization offers to use in certain parts of this Assignment. Each of the sections listed below should appear as a subheading in your paper. In the sections, include information that you feel is relevant. Use information from the textbook and required readings to ensure you understand the different sections and are including appropriate information. Please make sure to include the sections in the order listed below. You can refer to Appendices I, N, J, K, L, and P in your textbook for examples of each of these sections.
- Abstract/Executive Summary/Introduction
- Organizational Information
- Needs/Problem Statement
- Goals and Objectives (include one main goal and at least 3 objectives for that goal)
- Program Design/Methods/Strategies
- Funding/Sustainability Statement
Your Assignment should reflect professional writing standards using proper tone and language. The writing style should be correct, accurate, and reflect knowledge of different components of a grant proposal. The paper should be 3-4 pages, double spaced, and in APA format. You should include a minimum of three reputable references in your paper, with one of the references being your textbook.
