Read the one-act play “Trifles” in this week’s reading. Glaspell based the play on a true story of a murder she covered as a journalist. How do you think presenting the story through drama differs from how it would be covered through a journalist’s articles? What is the significance of the title of play? What symbols do you see in the play and how do they relate to the play’s overall themes? What do you think of the various characters and their decisions? What are some perspectives other people have presented of the play and do you agree or disagree? Your initial response should demonstrate thought beyond the surface, should include two references, and should be at least 250 words. The two references should be through the Bethel library
