This assignment requires you to complete a list of ten sources that you are considering using for the research essay. For now, you simply need to list ten sources and include the bibliographic information in MLA format as would be seen on a works cited page.

This assignment requires you to complete an annotated bibliography, which is a list of sources with notes about each source, or “annotations.” Your annotated bibliography will also list and address :
- bibliographic information, (author, title, publisher, date of publication, etc.) and
- type of source (scholarly/credible and text/article/encyclopedia entry, etc.), along with
- a brief explanation of the source’s main point/purpose,
- potential bias,
- credibility, and
- relevance to your research essay, and if you believe if will be useful to support your argument
Your annotated bibliography must include at least 5 sources, but may include more. It must also include at least 2 scholarly sources, and directly indicate which two sources are scholarly. More than two may be scholarly.
The paragraph that addresses the criteria listed above for each source must be at least 5 sentences long, and may be more than 5 sentences long.
You are not committed to using these sources for the research essay. You may switch sources, add sources, or cut sources. The purpose of this assignment is to require you to begin seriously evaluating and considering sources for the research essay.
