Essay Question:
Compare and contrast two of the early empires that we have discussed in this course (i.e. Egypt, Mesopotamia, Aryan India, Mauryan India, China, the Olmecs, the Mayans, Persia, Greece, Macedonia, etc.). How did their leaders take power? How did they organize their government? What were the cultural contributions to later societies from each empire? How did religion help rulers control their subjects or give those subjects a way to revolt against bad rulers?
