Discussion(250 words): essays reading

After reading all the essays in “Reading Packet A”(4 essays in file blow) and reading pages 1-18 of Chapter 1 in Lynn Z. Bloom, Fact and Artifact: Writing Nonfiction, Start a Thread (see instructions in the Discussion Board handout) and write two paragraphs(At least 250 words total):

First, write a short analysis of your overall impressions of this genre of nonfiction writing. What surprises you? What worries you? What excites you? What questions do you have? What are you looking forward to? As you write, please quote from the readings, from the Reading Packet and/or from Bloom. Think through ideas and questions you have for this upcoming semester.

Second, choose one of the essays and discuss something specific about it that you liked, something that caught your attention, some kind of stylistic choice or insight that maybe you would like to work on incorporating into your own work.
